We are excited to present this real-deal, 242 VIN 1967 Pontiac GTO. The long, very straight body is dressed in smooth, glossy blue paint that looks great but does have occasional imperfections, making it driver quality. The chrome front bumper and headlight bezels are in very good condition, and the headlamps are correct T3's. Other exterior features include a working hood tachometer, newer side mirrors, dual chrome exhaust tips, and 15” chrome Cragar wheels wrapped in newer BF Goodrich Radial TA's.
Under the hood lies what we believe to be a 1968 400ci, upgraded dual-feed Holley carburetor, Accel Coil, MSD ignition box, headers, chrome valve covers and air cleaner, chrome Powermaster alternator, and a Champion aluminum radiator. Horsepower hits the ground via a 4-speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter and a 10-bolt rear end. Stopping power comes from power brakes with discs and drilled & slotted rotors up front and drums in the back. It also appears to have newer e-brake cables. The front end has a sway bar, newer ball joints, and shocks, while the rear has tubular control arms with newer bushings and gas shocks.
Open the driver's door to find a nice black interior with bucket seats. The black vinyl upholstery is in good condition in both the front and back, and the seats are comfortable. There is also a full set of GM seatbelts for all passengers. The door panels and carpet are in good condition. The walnut steering wheel has a great period look and is backed up by power steering. Other interior features include working interior lights, a passenger “grab handle,” 2-speed wipers, under-dash Autometer gauges, and a Panasonic AM/FM/Cassette stereo for your cruisin' tunes.
While this GTO isn't quite nice enough to take to Nationals, it will put a smile on your face every time you drive it and get you thumbs up wherever you go!
